From Aika Sportswear to the new brand Montforge: An upgrade and transformation

Thomas Aika, founder, has over 15 years of experience in the garment industry. "I don't just want to design blueprints; I want to turn them into reality, into something you can wear."

Thomas comes from a small village in southern China. As a child, he developed a strong interest in fabrics and tailoring. In university, he chose fashion design, working part-time as a draftsman while attending classes, and actively participating in workshop internships to gain a deep understanding of pattern making and production processes. For him, true design is not just about what's on paper; it needs to be transformed into reality to serve the wearer.

The Birth of AIKA | Manufacturing Can Also Have Warmth

Founded in 2017, AIKA aims to provide brands with a garment manufacturing platform that is "listening, cooperative, and implementable." It adheres to three core principles:

Every sample garment must be market-tested, not a "half-finished product";
Every employee should be respected and given opportunities for growth, not just part of an assembly line;
Every brand's vision deserves to be listened to carefully and executed precisely.
This philosophy has earned AlKA the trust of customers from multiple markets, including Europe and Japan.

Montforge | A New Beginning in 2025

In 2025, we launched our new brand, Montforge, dedicated to providing global brands with higher-standard sportswear manufacturing solutions. Montforge embodies aika's relentless pursuit of "innovation + functionality + quality," committed to providing integrated services from design and sample garments to mass production delivery.We firmly believe that apparel manufacturing is not merely an industry; it is the core driving force behind brand growth.

Brand Story Milestones

2017

Aikasportswear was officially founded in Humen, Dongguan, and began its international trade business in customized sportswear.

2018

Established a formal partnership with SPSM, a high-end Russian sportswear brand, becoming their main supplier. Sales volume tripled during this year.

2019–2021

Met two young entrepreneurs from the UK and jointly developed precise fits for street sportswear. The products quickly went viral in the European market, leading to overwhelming demand. The success also attracted an invitation from JD Sports to join its platform, under the brand name Montirex.

2023–2024

Expanded the company team to 150 members and increased the factory size to 4,000 square meters. The R&D focus was refined into two main directions: urban street sportswear and functional urban outdoor sportswear.

2025

Achieved major breakthroughs in the development of urban street and urban outdoor sportswear, leading to the creation of a new brand, Montforge.
